Seesam’s travel insurance allows each client to choose the cover they want: just the cost of medical treatment abroad, or also covering delays or interruptions to their trip or its cancellation altogether. Personal items can also be insured as luggage.
Medical insurance is the most important part of travel insurance, covering the cost of treating any illness that starts or accident that occurs abroad:
The amount of medical insurance can be selected according to need, with the maximum cover being 1 000 000 euros.
There are also frequent cases where a trip is cancelled due to illness, issues with transport mean the destination is not reached on time or the trip has to be cut short and the traveller has to return home. This often leads to extra costs for transport and accommodation or, if the trip is cancelled, losing all the money you paid. To avoid spending more than initially planned, it is a good idea to add travel interruption insurance to your contract.
If you would also like to be covered against the unexpected, such as a service provider going on strike, a natural disaster or the cancellation of the concert, conference or other event which is the whole reason for your trip, it is worth choosing extended travel interruption cover.
When you travel, you can also insure the items you take with you.
Seesam’s luggage insurance covers the following:
You can choose between different amounts of cover and additional types of insurance that allow you to extend your cover even further. Travel insurance can be taken out for an individual, a family, a larger group or a company.
Note: In regard to trip cancellation, there is a three-day delay before the cover commences, i.e. it commences three days after the contract comes into force. (For example, if the policy is purchased on 6 August, the cover is valid from 9 August.) For this reason it is especially important that you don’t leave purchasing travel insurance to the last minute.
Travel insurance is not valid in Estonia. The insurance does not cover travel within Estonia or apply in the insured person’s country of permanent residence. Although travel interruption insurance can cover situations that occur in connection with a trip leaving from Estonia, it is not intended to cover travel within Estonia itself.
In accordance with the terms and conditions of travel insurance, losses directly or indirectly caused by war are not subject to compensation.
